This religious order, founded by Saint Anthony Mary Claret, focuses on missionary work and evangelization.

For many years, Mir Vime dedicated himself to his priestly service as a Claretian. He exhibited great zeal and enthusiasm in spreading the message of Christ and was highly esteemed by his fellow religious and the local community.

Tragically, during the Spanish Civil War, which lasted from 1936 to 1939, religious persecution was rampant in Spain. Mir Vime, along with many other priests and religious, became a target for those opposing the Catholic Church. As a result of his unwavering faith and refusal to renounce his beliefs, he was arrested and imprisoned.

Mir Vime's imprisonment did not deter him from his faith or his commitment to his vocation. Even while incarcerated, he continued to minister to his fellow prisoners and provide them with spiritual guidance and strength. His example of love, forgiveness, and unwavering faith in the face of adversity inspired those around him.

On July 29, 1936, at the age of 46, Jaume Mir Vime became a martyr for the Catholic faith. He was martyred in Tarragona, Spain, where he was executed for his refusal to abandon his religious convictions. His martyrdom serves as a powerful testimony to his faith and dedication to the Claretian ideals.

Recognizing his martyrdom, Pope Benedict XVI venerated Jaume Mir Vime on June 28, 2012, through a decree of martyrdom. Later, on October 13, 2013, the same pope beatified him, officially declaring him Blessed Jaume Mir Vime.

Although specific details of Mir Vime's representation are not available, his life and martyrdom continue to inspire devotion and serve as an example of unwavering faith in the face of persecution. His feast day is celebrated annually on July 29th, commemorating the day of his martyrdom.
