Isidro married Celsa, and together they raised seven children in the diocese of Oviedo, Spain. He led a humble and industrious life, running a business, cultivating a small farm, and working in the Hullera Española mines to support his family. Isidro's dedication to his responsibilities, both as a provider and as a nurturing father, exemplified his commitment to his family and his unwavering love for God.
In the midst of the turbulent times of the Spanish Civil War, Isidro's faith and devotion to Catholicism became a source of persecution. His unwavering commitment to his faith led to his imprisonment, where he was subjected to enslavement and torture. Despite the harsh conditions and constant threats, Isidro refused to renounce his beliefs, remaining steadfast in his devotion to Christ.

However, being a deeply loving husband and father, he feared that his family would bear the brunt of the punishment intended for him. Rather than abandoning them to their fate, Isidro willingly chose to stay in prison until his eventual execution. His selfless act demonstrated his profound love for his family and his unwavering commitment to protect them.
