Blessed Herman of Scheda, also known as Herman of Cologne, was a Jewish convert to Christianity who later became a renowned Premonstratensian monk and the abbot of the Scheda monastery in the Archdiocese of Cologne, Germany. Although not much is known about his life, his contributions to the Catholic faith and the religious community have left a lasting impact.

Herman of Scheda was born in Cologne, Germany, where he grew up in a Jewish family. At some point in his life, he encountered the teachings of Christianity and was deeply moved by them. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus and the Catholic Church, he made the courageous decision to convert to Christianity, embracing the faith that would shape the rest of his life.
