In September 1939, during the Nazi persecutions, Blessed Henryk Kaczorowski was arrested and imprisoned. Despite the oppressive conditions and constant danger, he remained steadfast in his faith and sought to bring comfort and solace to his fellow prisoners. Throughout his time in various concentration camps, including Dachau in Bavaria, Germany, he ministered to the spiritual needs of his fellow inmates, offering them hope and encouragement in the midst of unimaginable suffering.

Recognizing his exemplary life and martyrdom, Pope John Paul II venerated Blessed Henryk Kaczorowski on 26 March 1999. Then, on 13 June 1999, the same Pope beatified him, bestowing upon him the title of "Blessed." Blessed Henryk Kaczorowski is celebrated and honored on two feast days: 6 May, which marks the day of his martyrdom, and 12 June, when he is recognized as one of the 108 Martyrs of World War Two. These feasts serve as a reminder of his selfless sacrifice, and they inspire the faithful to emulate his unwavering faith and dedication to serving others.
