Biography

Blessed Francesc Llagostera Bonet was a Mercedarian priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on August 30, 1883, in Valls, Tarragona, Spain.

Francesc Llagostera Bonet dedicated his life to the service of God as a priest. He joined the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, commonly known as the Mercedarians, a religious order focused on the redemption of captives. As a Mercedarian priest, he was dedicated to helping those who were unjustly imprisoned and enslaved.
