Biography

Blessed Fernando Olmedo Reguera, also known as Fernando of Santiago, was a Franciscan Capuchin priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on January 10, 1873, in Santiago de Compostela, La Coruña, Spain.

Fernando dedicated his life to the service of God and the Catholic Church. He entered the Capuchin Order and was ordained as a priest. His deep faith and commitment to his vocation led him to live a life of poverty, simplicity, and selflessness.

During the Spanish Civil War, a time of great turmoil and religious persecution in Spain, Father Fernando was targeted because of his religious beliefs.
