While precise details about Elisabeth's birth date remain unavailable, it is believed that she lived during the 13th century. She passed away around the year 1280, succumbing to natural causes. At the moment of her death, an astonishing account emerged from a distant Camaldolese sister who claimed to have witnessed the sight of Blessed Elisabeth's departing soul. According to this sister, she saw Elisabeth's soul holding a lamp, guided by two angels, as it ascended to its heavenly abode. This mystical vision further attested to Elisabeth's holiness and her close proximity to God.
