Blessed Donizetti Tavares De Lima, born on 3 January 1882 in Cássia, Brazil. He came from a family of nine boys, born to Tristão and Francisca Cândida Tavares de Lima. His father was a lawyer while his mother worked as a professor.
Donizetti Tavares De Lima was ordained a priest in the diocese of São João da Boa Vista, Brazil in 1908. Shortly after ordination, he began serving as a parish priest in the region. It was during his time as a priest that he gained a reputation as a miracle worker and healer. Countless individuals sought his help, and many attributed their healing and miracles to his intercession.
However, in 1955, in obedience to his bishop, Father Donizetti made the decision to limit himself to normal parish work and cease speaking about the miracles he had witnessed and facilitated.

At 11:15 a.m. on 16 June 1961, Father Donizetti passed away at the parish hall in Tamba√∫, Brazil. His death was attributed to natural causes.

On 23 November 2019, Pope Francis beatified Blessed Donizetti Tavares De Lima, officially recognizing his beatification. The beatification ceremony took place at the Church of São José in Tamba√∫, Brazil, with Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu as the chief celebrant.
