Profile: Blessed Dominic Collins was the son of John and Felicity Collins. He initially embarked on a military career and managed to rise to the rank of Captain. However, a significant turning point in his life occurred during a trip to Santiago del Compostela in Spain. Inspired by his experience, Dominic resigned his commission in the military and made the decision to become a Jesuit novice and lay brother.

Assigned to Ireland in 1601, Dominic dedicated himself to spreading the Catholic faith and serving the local community. Unfortunately, his efforts were met with hostility during a time of religious persecution in Ireland. On June 17, 1602, Dominic was arrested for his unwavering commitment to promoting his faith. He endured imprisonment, torture, and ultimately faced execution for his steadfast belief in Catholicism.
