Blessed Conrad Scheuber, also known as Konrad, was a hermit and the grandson of Saint Nicholas of Flüe, a renowned Swiss hermit and mystic. Born in 1481 in Altfellen, Switzerland, Conrad was brought up in a deeply religious family and grew up with a strong devotion to God.
Inspired by the holy life of his grandfather, Conrad felt a deep calling to follow in his footsteps and dedicate his life to God as a hermit. He embraced the solitude and simplicity of the hermitage of Saint Nicholas, where he spent many years in prayer, contemplation, and austere living. Conrad sought to emulate the sanctity and wisdom that his grandfather had embodied.
In his pursuit of a life of deep spiritual communion, Conrad later moved to the hermitage of Wolffenschiessen. Here, he continued his rigorous ascetic practices, living a life of poverty, prayer, and penance. His devoted life in seclusion allowed him to deepen his relationship with God and grow in holiness.
Blessed Conrad Scheuber was known for his great humility and purity of heart. He possessed a remarkable gift of discernment and was sought after by many seeking spiritual guidance and counsel. Conrad's words and actions reflected his deep connection to God, and he was often able to offer solace and direction to those who came to him.

On 5th March 1559, Conrad Scheuber peacefully left this earthly life in Bettelruti, Switzerland, at the age of 78. His death was widely mourned, and his memory continued to inspire countless others to embrace a life of devotion and spiritual discipline.
