Biography

Blessed Bruno of Paris, also known as Bruno of St. Pierre, was a Cistercian monk born in the 12th century. Not much is known about his early life and family background. Bruno dedicated his life to the monastic vocation and joined the Cistercian Order in Paris, France.

As a Cistercian, he embraced the rigorous austerity and strict observance of the Rule of St. Benedict. The Cistercians were known for their dedication to manual labor, simplicity, and silence. Bruno exemplified these virtues with great fervor, becoming a model of holiness to his fellow monks.

During his time at the Cistercian monastery, Bruno displayed an exceptional commitment to contemplative prayer and deepening his relationship with God. He diligently studied theology and meditated on the Scriptures, seeking to understand and apply their teachings in his life.
