Blessed Benedict Ricasoli, also known as Benedict of Coltiboni, was a revered Vallumbrosan monk who led a life of devotion and solitude. He was born in Coltiboni, a small village in Fiesole, Italy, at an unknown date. Unfortunately, limited information is available regarding his early life and family background.

As a young man, Benedict entered the Vallumbrosan Order, a religious community known for its commitment to austerity and spiritual contemplation.
