Biography

Blessed Artale, also known as Blessed Artale of Oran, was a devout Catholic soldier and knight, who later became a lay member of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, commonly known as the Mercedarians. He was renowned for his unwavering faith and personal piety, which served as an inspiration to those around him.

Little is known about Blessed Artale's early life, including his birth details or specific family background. However, his extraordinary actions and dedication to helping others during his lifetime have earned him a place of honor in the Catholic Church.

Blessed Artale is primarily remembered for his courageous efforts in rescuing Christian prisoners from slavery in Africa.
