Blessed Arnald Arench, also known as Arnald of Arench, was a Mercedarian friar, professor, preacher, and writer, renowned for his courageous efforts to rescue Christians enslaved by Muslims. Born in 14th century France, Arnald devoted his life to serving God and helping those in need.

Arnald's academic pursuits led him to Montpellier, France, where he became a respected professor in a prestigious medical school.
