Blessed Angelina of Spoleto, born in the 15th century in Spoleto, Italy, was a woman of noble lineage. Her father, Antonio, provided her with a privileged upbringing, yet she was drawn to a life of spirituality and self-denial. In her early adulthood, Angelina made the significant decision to join the Poor Clares, a Franciscan order known for its dedication to poverty and prayer.

Around the year 1440, Angelina entered the Sante Lucia convent in Spoleto, where she embraced the ascetic lifestyle and devoted herself fervently to prayer.
