Biography

Blessed Agnese Pacifica Panas, also known as Sister Maria Costanza, was a Capuchin Poor Clare nun, known for her exemplary life of virtue and holiness. She was born on 15 January 1896 in Alano di Piave, in the Diocese of Padua, Belluno, Italy.

From a young age, Agnese displayed a deep sense of devotion to God and a desire to dedicate her life to serving Him. She entered the Capuchin Poor Clare Order and took the religious name Sister Maria Costanza, committing herself to a life of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Her dedication to the Order was evident in her unwavering commitment to the Capuchin Poor Clare charism, which emphasized a life of solitude, prayer, and penance.

Throughout her years as a nun, Sister Maria Costanza exemplified a life of humility and selflessness. She devoted herself to the service of others, embracing a life of poverty and simplicity. Her love and care for the impoverished and needy were an inspiration to those around her.

Sister Maria Costanza's devotion to prayer and contemplation were central to her spiritual journey. Through her deep prayer life, she sought union with God and sought His guidance in her daily activities. She believed that through prayer, one could find solace and strength in times of difficulty and trial.
